433 EROS

On 23 December 1998 the NEAR spacecraft flew within 3824 km of the asteroid 433 Eros (33x33x16 km diameter). Details of the flyby are soon to be published (NEAR's Flyby Reconnaissance of 433 Eros: Imaging and Spectral Results in Science Magazine and the NEAR Home Page. The Eros thumbnails are available in two versions; pages that show only the frames that actually contained all or part of Eros and a set of pages that include all frames including images of space around Eros (mostly acquired in moonlet searches).

On 27 June 1997 the NEAR spacecraft flew within 1212 km of the asteroid 253 Mathilde (66x48x44 km diameter).
